Here we go then, 'scuse me for the long post but there's a fair amount to go in.
It's a 1959 Ford Zephyr Mk2 Lowline.
One of the good bits is that the V5 has already been changed to say it's a 5.7L engine so there's no need to worry about SVA's.
It also currently rolls on the Zephyr disk brakes and struts which are quite sought after for Ford Pops and other Zephys.
The car is in pretty much standard form at the mo but comes with an Oldsmobile 5.7L engine and TH350 autobox (Not Fitted). This engine fits nice into a Zephyr due to the large engine bay, just needs the lower part of the bulkhead cutting out to fit the auto box. With the Capri suspension setup fitted the Olds engine will bolt onto the crossmember engine mounts as if it were meant to be there
Overall, the body is in good condition. The roof and gutters aren't rotted out and the panel work is solid. The bottom of the rear arches are tatty but i've got rear quarter sections from another Zephyr that can be used to fix them.
The boot floor area is quite rusty in places but again, easy to patch\replace.
The metal dash area is in good condition.
Along with the car & engine I also have a ton of spares (Some i've not had chance to photo yet).
Parts include,
Complete 3L Capri front suspension\steering setup. Struts, brakes, crossmember, steering rack, steering column. The struts mount straight up to the zephyr and really drops the front end. Crossmember and roll bar just need mounting to the chassis.
2 Fibreglass front doors (1 of each)
2 Steel front passenger doors
2 Steel front wings (1 of each)
4 Fibreglass front wings (2 of each)
4 Rear doors (2 of each)
1 Fibreglass bootlid
1 Steel bootlid
2 Steel bonnets
2 Petrol tanks
Chrome front grille with indicators
Rear light units
Consul rear light units
Rear bench seat
Door cards
Window winder mechs
wiper motor and heater box unit in the car
Chrome window surrounds
Internal metal trims
Clip on chrome trim for the roof guttering
Trim for the wings, doors & rear quarters
Spare rear axle
Propshaft
Full set of glass\ 1/4lights plus spare rear window
Spare complete roof (I was planning on roof chopping it)
Plus some other boxes of parts and bits i've forgotten to list. Basically, it's the majority of those hard to get parts.
All that and an A4 folder of Zephy articles, V8 conversion articles, roofchop articles, 2 door articles etc. collected by the previous owner.
Here's some pictures of the bits I managed to photo.
Finally, the car is located in Oldbury in the west midlands. To get it you'll need a trailer and at least a van to carry all the other parts i'd reckon.
Price. I'm looking for £1,500 ono for this lot.
There's a load of stuff and even if you just want some of the parts the rest could easily be sold on afterwards.
Feel free to roll in with the questions or to come and have a look.
