I think if the spacers are specifically for 3x98mm, they won't fit straight on, as your studs will be further apart. Might need to elongate the holes outwards with a file. As long as you leave plenty of meat around the edge you should be ok!

a lot of spacers have oblong holes so can fit many different PCD's, you might be lucky & have this type.
Other crucial factor is the centre hole size - I had to machine my spacers on the 75 by 2mm to get them to clear the hub centre.
Spacers wider then 5mm may need longer studs or bolts, to ensure you are using enough of the thread.

I'm pretty sure I saw a feature about this in custom cars this month - might be worth a look (unless I'm going mad ) PCD stands for pitch circle diameter. So imagine you were to stick a compas in the centre of the wheel and draw a circle that went through the centre of each bolt hole. The numbers (98, 115 etc) are the diameter of that circle Therefore the spacers you have ordered are drilled round a 'circle' that is smaller than the 'circle'on the ZS. Make sense?

It was only by knowing my Spiders PCD that I knew that 4 stud ford wheels would fit..............I'd never have known it otherwise...........108PCD

So the garage are going to have to bodge (er proffessionally engineer) the hole out from 98 to 115mm
I hope thats allowed on the MOT!
Weirdly despite being 98mm PCD I can't find on the list any car with this size, so go knows what they thought they'd fit!

as said - you will need to increase the size of the holes to get em to fit. There is a article in custom car this month about measuring the pcd on a wheel, so u can work out pcd's if u have the wheel/stud pattern in front of you. Not really helpful for your situation, but its a handy thing to read.

Modified spacers are fine for MOT's So long as there is surficiant "meat" as BenzBoy said you will be ok. What size have you gone for? Will you require new extended studs? MOT might fail on amount of thred left for nut.. Although I assume you will most likely have 5mm shims/spacers??

The spacers are 3mm. The faces of the ap calipers just catch on the inside of the wheels (grrr).
The hubs fitted have extended wheel bolts so there's plenty of room.
Should be able to take the spacers down to the garage tomorrow. Hopefully the old girl will be back on the road on friday. Have had loads of petty MOT failure items, lh drive headlamps fitted (they have a lhd rhd adjuster!!, exhaust not fitting, (they've been banging out the underneath of the car), shock oil seal failed, all the normal joys of a rare car with performance add ons. Still nearly there! Oh and that old friend rust on the chassis rails!
Wallet's nice and empty now!

At least it will be nice and ready for another 12 months retro fun!
How did you get on with the dampers and springs from France?

Will know tomorrow. Mr Bo11ox helped out big time with the speaking French to the guy. Bough them for 90 euro's and got TNT to pick them up from his house. They should be at the garage today, might pop in after work to check.
Will send the PTs units off to Leda for reconditioning as I have found out that they can be adjusted for piston strength, rebound AND ride hight while the koni's only do piston resistance. That means I can tell Leda how many inches of drop to dial in and bingo lowered car!
£50 a pop, not too bad. Have also splashed out on getting two wider Amil rims fo rthe rear recond. TBH not over impressed with the finish but it's not a show car so ho-hum. Fitting 185/60 13's to the rear so have had the rear arches rolled. Can you see why I'm poor yet?

the only pics of the car are in the readers rides gallery. When it's back I'll crawl around it with the digi cam and put up a thread.
Plenty more to do. Need a short 5speed box and LSD. I have the Group B sub frame and extra engine mounting points. That's gonna need about £1000 to buy and fit though!
