Due to an alarming appearance of damp at the back of our house - I am going to have to give up my rented garage. Unfortunately this means I will have to get rid of the miniMetro that I rescued a few months ago. Its a 1981 X Reg miniMetro L 1.0 and has done 50,000 miles, these is some rust but not bad for its age and considering it lay unused for over 10 years. I am very sad to loose this car but I am need to do it if I have any chance of keeping my Acclaim. As I said this is free ( as that's how much I paid for it ) but will need to be collected within the next month. I am based in Stockport    |

Ive got a trailer, tow car, don't live too far away. All systems go!
Its identical to the metro my grandad crashed into a dry stone wall in 1992, recessed lights and everything.

Dude, spend a tenner on a solid towing bar from Machine Mart, the towed car doesn't even need brakes then!! Best thing I ever bought I'm interested aswell & I'm closest as yet LOL more info ? does it start & stop ? yes I know its free but I don't want to smack the back of the tow car !!!! |

Those static bars are still shAt IMO. Had one fall to bits whilst moving, un-nice. And another bend severly under braking, which again was un-nerving. A-frame is the way forward. Don't even need an accomplice then. £150 or so, but if you're a serial tat-gatherer a deffo good investment. |

Best thing I ever bought ;)got one mate they are ok but as pogweasel has said ive seen a few bent & snapped ones as you cant get ALL the play out of them & they are made out of cheap metal  got an A frame/one man tow but its at a mates & my car has not got a tow bar  plus you can take me off the list as ive got my eye on something else I'm interested aswell & I'm closest as yet LOL more info ? does it start & stop ? yes I know its free but I don't want to smack the back of the tow car !!!! |

Dimebar, and other interested parties.
Id arranged to colect the Metro tomorrow (Friday) before 1pm but due to work commitments I wont beable to make it for that time. I cant collect over the weekend and due to working nights I can only get the metty during the daytime which Dimebar cant do. Next weekend I'm off down south so cant collect it then so the only time I would beable to get it is the weekend after which is quite a time for the car to sit there considering its urgent it be moved.
Seeing as theres alot of interest Its only fair I let someone else have a crack at it. If its still there after a couple of weeks or so Ill come up and grab it but somehow I think thats unlikely!
Form an orderly queue please!
P.S Dimebar, tried to ring you tonight to let you know but didnt get an answer, ill ring in a bit to explain.
