Vauxhall Astra 1.4 'Starmist' Mk2, 5 door hatchback. Two owners from new, current one has owned it since 7 months old. Taxed until end of month, MOT'd until August 2007. Starts and runs exceptionally well, has only ever been serviced or repaired using genuine Vauxhall parts. I believe the owner has lots of receipts etc to go with it. Belongs to a friend's elderly father who is retiring from driving.
Mileage something like 11,000 but this is almost certainly 111,000. Has standard alloy wheels with excellent tyres and car is mostly original and completely standard.
Faults I can see are rear arches starting to go, at least one sill will want replacing (probably both), a small hole in the boot will want welding, paintwork on boot hatch poor and some other rust/paint areas will want looking at if you're fussy. It's NOT been taken for an MOT as he's giving up driving but a quick look and all I can find is the sills and the boot floor as failures.
It's still pretty presentable and must be hard to find one so well cared for mechanically and as original and genuine. Definately deserves a good home. I do not intend to make any money on the car, whatever it gets will go straight to the owner who's a smashing fella. Inspection/viewing welcome (I will accompany due to seller's age etc), it's in Chester, Cheshire.
