lovely motah! With leather interior. We've had it since Nov 2002, and are only getting rid cos we've got another kid on the way in a few weeks and need something bigger to cart loads of curse word around in.
It still feels special getting in it, it drives absolutely lovely (cos of the lowered suspension) and pulls like a TDI should.
Swap for VW T4 caravelle

Or swap for a Range Rover P38 with LPG.....
600 miles out of the last tank of diesel, not hanging around.

Do they seriously get 600 miles from a tank?
Whats the reliability like?
Been looking at one of these for a tow car and general lugger of curse word and things. If only I had some money money to spend.

regularly get 540 miles out of a tank of diesel - approx 55 litres. Generally 42-44 mpg. Either driven round town, or 80-90 on the motorway. The last tank of diesel was driven at 60 on A roads, but I did have to fetch a crucial part for my T25 so I was doing 150 miles round Bristol and back rapidly.
VERY very reliable. THese engines are known to go on for upto 400k miles. You might need a turbo.
If you did 50-60mph on A roads, you'd get closer to 800 miles (that's what the trip computer says), I always do brim to brim. When the turbo kicks in at 2500rpm, that is when it starts to use more fuel. 90mph is 3000 rpm.
And its an Audi. Not a VW, or a Seat, or a Skoda. But an Audi. It shares some parts, but the quality of the plastic and trim is higher.

looks rather nice; just bought this: which is the same year, also a sport, and also a TDI, no leather though and obviously a sport. so so comfy, and so economical! I'm averaging 52mpg at the moment (acording to the onboard computer). the quality of the trim is brilliant, even the way the doors open and close is lovely! good luck with the sale!

nice car!
Ours is (bizarrely) an SE spec, with Sport pack (quite rare to have both apparently), with leather standard (not sports) seats (still grip you enough without squeezing your thighs like my Recaro does).
And the original leaser had leather and walnut put in, but not a CD player (we bought an OEM CD player for the boot). Bizarre how some people's minds work!

mines a SE 110 with the sports pack too; and again has the standard 'comfort seats' but in cloth. it beats me as to why he botherd with almost every option in mine; (walnut, 6 disc changer etc) execpt leather. ideally i wanted one with leather but you try finding a face lift a4 in a decent colour, with a sports pack, lots of toys and leather. its impossible.
