Mk4 Ford Cortina 2.3v6 Ghia Automatic. There's not many of these cars left and the number of this particular model is in single figures I've been told
It runs really well and is generally in good condition as I recently spent quite a lot of money getting the paint cut back, which brought out the sport wheels nicely. It also has an expensive wax on it that bird poo can't get a grip on.
It also has an MOT'd until November 07 and the v5 is in my name.
I recently spent a fair bit getting the exhaust re-fitted with new manifold gaskets. I also had the carb setup as it was running a bit lumpy.
Strut tops are good as are the usual inner wing, swimming pool rust traps.
The interior is great. No rips in the seat, no hacked door card and no cracked dash.
It has the Ghia clock and the original MW radiogram.
It has the all important power steering, which was a very expensive option in it's day and makes it managable to drive. It also has a rev counter and a remote wing mirror adjuster but no passenger side wing mirror.
There's a brilliant history file with the car back to the 70's. There's even an invoice showing whoever bought it traded in a 1976 Austin Maxi to buy it.
I'm selling it for less than I paid for it as it needs a bit of TLC. Nothing serious if you have a bit of mechanically knowledge.
