Pains me to do this really but this CX right now at this point in my life is not goign to happen and its just gonna get worse sitting here.
1985 Silver Gti Turbo S1, 93k on the clock, no reason to believe it isnt genuine. Has a set of the 15" alfa alloys fitted as shown in pic below. The car is much as shown below in the pics too. I do not have the logbook, it wasnt given to me by the previous owner. I have the forms to apply for one though and will knock off the fee from price I'm asking.
Things i know are up with it...........................
usual CX stuff Boot lid lip, door bottoms etc
Small hole in screen lower drivers side area (this is what caused the inner arch to rot out) I have repaired inner arch and bit of the inner sill.
It needs bit more to inner sills both sides, but nothing too tricky.
It has a low pressure return hose leak in the area of front accumulator.
It could do with rear spheres. Headlining is a bit saggy as usual.
Its all round a bit tatty on paint but not horrid.
Needs the 2 high pressure lines from front X memeber to the rear height corrector. Not difficult to get to at all.
And maybe one tyre.
Oh and it needs some more wheels bolts, as i didnt have enough
That should see it MOT' able i think.
I don't want to sell but the wife is having kittens and i have more time/money invested in the other cars i've got.
As i say i want to cover my outlay for the car and the wheels which is 200 quid. Its never gonna be the perfect CX but its really not too bad and would make a great daily driver that you wouldnt need to worry too much about. I will sell without the wheels for 150. It will need transporting or trailering.
I'm afraid i need to move the car and will put her on e-bay if no one is interested here. Come on, where else you gonna get a 180bhp car for this money?
Matt
