Hey fellas, I've got a brand new CSG-625 Ford Duratec 2.5l v6 engine here that was meant to be going in my Mondeo, but due to time constraints and slight differences between the later build of engine that this is and my car meant I just had to get a used engine to get the car back on the road. I later did some research and found there to be actually very little difference:
Basically around the 2001/2002 mark they changed the fuel rail system on the engine to a single, returnless feed. My car uses a feed and return system. After talking to Power Torque engineering, where the engine was originally purchased from, all that would be needed to make this engine fit into the older fords with a dual fuel line system would be a new fuel rail. I unfortunately found this out too late.
It's brand new, still on the crate and has never tasted petrol, and comes complete with a clutch and alternator too. All that's missing from the original purchase state of the engine is a water pump housing and an aircon pump, but i'm fairly sure that's not a massive issue. If it is, let me know and ill see what I can do to source some new parts for it It was just easier to take them from this whilst it was sat there than wait for a parts place to deliver them for me.
Perfect for a conversion / replacement / kit car.
Power torque sell these for aprox £2.5k, ill be happy with half of that as it's taking up room at my mechanics and it needs to be gone, so lets call it £1250 ONO.
This engine is the CSG-625, on the left:
Pics of it where it is now:
Original delivery tag with engine serial number on.
Engine Barcode:
This is the exact engine that is used in the Noble m12, so those of you looking at turboing out easily expect the right side of 300bhp. A lot of contour guys in the USA run these at 300bhp+
Any questions, give me a shout.
Tom.
Oh yea, I'm located just north of Manchester
