Well thats Le mans done and dusted so its time to sell my intercontinental balistic missile.  Its a 1980 Mercedes Benz 350 SE in Thistle green. 3.5L V8, electric windows, period Pioneer stereo, 116,500miles (just run in), 3 speed Auto.  Taxed and tested until September 07. The mechanical condition of this car is suberb, I've just completed a 900 mile round trip to the le mans 24 hour race and it never missed a beat.  The body has a few small bubbles but nothing that spoils the apperance. Unfortunatley on the LM trip the sunroof failed but I'll try and fix this as soon as possible.  fully serviced 1000 miles ago including all belts and fuel filter £1900 or near offer |

They are cracking to drive - brilliantly suited to a continental cruise. Drove a minter last year which had a £4000* price tag on it. Sold not long after!

What a total honey of a car. Pump it full of waxoyl, bosh an LPG bottle on and use daily - no cooler way to travel.
What was it like on juice for your LM trip? I imagin when you get it wound up on the motorway its not too bad.

I'm very temped to use it everyday, it's far cooler than my Honda civic and much cheaper if you count insurance bank loans etc.
I got from Doncaster, South Yorks to Le Mans via Hull/Zeebruge on one tank of fuel which is about 22/ 23 MPG.
I drove for 10 hours and never felt tired, amazing!

In view of the fact that a couple of months ago I went to look at an identical SE model that was up for nigh on a grand and it was a total shed, what you are asking for is the bargain it appears to be. I love my Scimmie but Id be very sorely tempted..........  |

Thats a flippin beast. I tried to buy a tatty (read dead) one from the local scrapyard but the owner wasnt interested. Id never been near one before and I was bowled over by the sheer size of the thing and the amount of space inside. A real "battleship" feel. Ill have one.. one day!
