My old man has just landed himself a Skoda Felicia so his old Rover estate is up for grabs.
The car is a 1995 M plater with 105429 miles on the clock. Being a 1.6 it has the honda d16a9 lump rather than the k-series which is a good revvy single cam 16v lump. Very quick car for it's size.
Being an old Rover the ride is as comfortable as a big leather armchair at a gentlemans club... very smooth and comfortable - tho has a tendancy to roll around corners. Nicely weighted power steering adds to a very enjoyable drive.
Being an SLi it features a sunroof, leccy windows and mirrors, remote central locking and alarm/immobiliser.
The car is a little tatty - normal scuffs on the bumpers (car was a little big for my dad to handle) but generally there is nothing a good clean wouldn't tidy up. This car has the potential to be very smart looking given the right time and attention.
The engine runs well but is using a little oil - needs to be topped up every week or 2 - i suspect a oil seal has gone somewhere but haven't looked so cannot comfirm. The car has recently also had new clutch and solid 2nd hand exhaust fitted.
The car has no MoT or tax currently but i am willing to whack an MoT on it for the right price.
I'll pop some pictures up tomorrow when i get a chance, but i think this car has loads of potential... think BTCC volvo estates or Boso style.... or it might just even make a great parts chaser (i collected an engine in this thing with no hassle at all) or a dog mobile for all you saint bernard owners out there!
The car needs to go as we are struggling for space so make me an offer people, you might just get a bargain - happy to answer questions too!
I am in Staffordshire
Cheers, Tom
