Whilst browsing F2 motorcycles' website, I noticed he has put his Skoda up for sale. He's based in Banbury. It sounds tailor-made for folks on this here site. www.f2motorcycles.ltd.uk/usedbikes.htmlHe has all the details and pics posted on the site I'd have it myself but Bank of Wife says no.

I'd be interested if it were old enough to count as a classic car, that would drop my insurance several hundred pounds, but as is, cannae be arsed. Local too...Where're you based if banbury is local? I'm by the heyfords...

depends what you mean by classic policy. It won't go on my classic policy. Too new. A lot of the "modern classic" policies either empose too many restrictions or are too expensive compared to normal road risks insurance. You can geta "classic policy" for a 5 year old Jag but you are restricted to pleasure use only, no commuting, 1500 miles a year... That sort of stuff. Fine if you don;t plan on using the car for anything....

I'm in Aberdeen. Not really local to me, just noticed it when I was looking for parts for the bike.

I can get classic on a estelle/rapid, AND I'm only 21 as well... I'm 19, and that makes all the difference. That and technically a car isn't classic, or at least classic car insurance companies wont put you on a classic policy unless the car is 20 years old or more... Were I 21 I could get a celica supra as a classic car, as the engine is 1 2.8 they wont. Bastids.

It says on the site that it's sold.
I drove past the car today - on the A43 at Silverstone and then again on the M1 heading north (after I'd stopped for a coffee - it didn't pass me!).
Did anyone here buy it?
