I have a cast iron 4.5 V8 engine block sitting in my garage taking up space. I was going to rebuild the engine but I'm changing my plans due to lack of time. It's in Nottingham if anyone wants it  |

Heh, yeah quite possibly! Or a massively over-engineered doorstop! ;D If it was ally I'd weigh it in, but I don't think it would fetch much as it's cast iron  |

Steel's about £75 a ton at the minute! Scrapped an old Merc 190 shell the other day, weighed 880kg and made me £66!

Steel's about £75 a ton at the minute! Scrapped an old Merc 190 shell the other day, weighed 880kg and made me £66! Hmm, might be worth lugging it to the local scrap merchants then! I reckon it weighs nearly a ton! ;D  It isn't stripped though... might make a tenner or something on it |

was at Stabbo, AFAIK stuff's still thereabouts.
