It is with some regret that I am having to consider selling my C210 after over nine years' happy ownership. I’ve come to the conclusion that I just cannot give it the time and resources it deserves, and rather than let it sit and fester when the MoT’s eventually become too much grief to get through I think someone else should have a crack at it.
It has tax until end September and MoT mid-October, so you could get a bit of summertime/show use out of it before winter. In the immediate future it needs two new tyres and the rear brake calipers freeing off a bit, otherwise I gave it a service last year and it’s just had a new full stainless exhaust system fitted. Until the brakes became a problem a fortnight or so ago I was using it regularly, indeed if I can get them sorted (got some spares) I’ll be using it again. It will come with stacks of spare parts, even a virtually complete car if you want, themselves worth a fair bit.
Front and rear lights are both as JDM models for added cool points (originals included too) but otherwise it is an original, standard UK car with lots of history from new. 5-speed manual, lots of toys like pillarless electric windows, fuel injection and PAS. I’m only the third owner, it’s done 83k miles.
At this point I’m not going to go into all the pro’s and con’s. If you’re interested you’ll probably already know something about it. I’m going to annoy you all by not stating a price, because it has a lot of sentimental value to me and it’s more important that I’m confident that it goes to a good home rather than sell to the first person who waves the cash under my nose. I would consider an exchange of some sort on something suitably interesting with T&T, you all know by now the kind of thing I like.
So, anyone up for what could potentially be a very, very cool car? While there are one or two C210s here in very good condition I’m not aware of any subtly modified in the Japanese way. Who wants to be the first? Some examples for inspiration:
At this point I should add I reserve the right to completely change my mind! Should I receive an unexpected windfall, or stop messing around with other projects, models, brochures, family life, the house etc etc...
