Just got this(well I've not yet, but have done a deal and collect very soon!), but looking to sell to fund another one  1987 Golf GTi 8v (1800) Alpine White (red boot) 135k Miles 5Mth MOT & Tax Loads of History Recent Oil Filter Plugs (VAG) Lowered 60mm front & Back Now on 14" BMW BBS alloys (or P slots if prefered) Scropion Exhaust - Dual Exit Engine Standard Interior is sweet - no rips on drivers seat. MFA working apart from MPG (always shows about 14MPG) Working Sunroof Central Locking Kenwood Cd player Supplied 6x9 Sony Xplod things in Shelf - sound nice. Pulls like a train and sounds very nice. Gearbox is fine - no issues with 2nd. A few rust scabs but nothing major.  .jpg) .jpg) .jpg) .jpg) .jpg) .jpg) £400 sound OK? |

I'm interested (considering my Samba's died).
When are you getting it? Oh, and where in E. Mids? (I'm in West Yorkshire but anywhere near Nottingham and I'd be expected to visit relatives!)

if the cambelt wasn't VERY recent there's one with the car..
And they're DEAD easy to do on these too

Oh I was meant to collect this last night, but for various reasons I've not been able to... nothing wrong with the golf... no my Cavalier that I'm swapping for (a sensible diesel jobbie with 5 doors... he's got a sprog on the way), didn't get the ABS sensor and top mount swapped over..  , I might now collect it on Sunday.. |

right I've got it, it goes.... Like the clappers, K jet golfs just seem more "responsive" It's got about 5 months of tax and MOT, for the next MOT it'll need a CV boot on one side, and the rear shocks aren't too clever, but it drives really well for a car so bloody low. it's on P slots now, the BMW wheels have another home, sorry guys, but it looks a million times better IMO The wheels aren't special, but neithers the car... neithers the price..  There's a fair whack of history, and a cam belt is included in sale unless I get the chance to do it , in which case it'll be changed. it's done about 140k, doesn't make any untoward noises, needs a rocker cover gasket, sump ain't too clever.. but it's OK goes, stops, look better for a clean.. not had a chance to do a load of piccys yet.. I'm at a car meet tommorow, I'll take some there MFA doesn't work properly.. Makes a lovely note from the scorpion exhaust, but may be too loud for some.. personally I think it's "right" and I don't like em too noisy. I really like this one.. But needs must. £400 ono ready to view now and will be at Modified Nationals if anyones there and wants a look I can be caught on the other end of 07811 050 074 |

One of my mechanic mates blew his R5GTT at the weekend and made me a silly offer on this, so I think I've sold it, sorry folks.
I DID mention the car to him before I got it, and he expressed interest then, didn't think it'd go any further to be honest.
