Shame to see it go. Don't suppose a '75 viva saloon in similar-to-yours maroon would tickle your fancy?

75 Viva...hmmmmm will keep it in mind, really want an FD or possibly an FE VX 4/90. I love Cortina's but ive not been offered a decent one yet. Price for the car as it is £1K which i feel is reasonable. Its MOT'd, taxed (free of course) and will get you where you want to go. Jobs to do are niggles and not major in any way. No welding or nothing like that, its solid as a rock underneath. Its going for a good tune up on saturday so will be running spot on. Its done 36,000 and has had loads of new parts including disks, pads, brake lines etc. I just want something I'm familiar with really. Something I'm familiar with modifying from my mispent youth!! I could modify the sep but I'm not really clued up on the mechanicals etc so i don't want to go changing things around only to come unstuck. With old Fords and Vauxhalls i know what fits, what doesnt and what to do to make things fit. With the sep, i have no idea so i think id best leave it be and let someone else enjoy it.

Thats part the reason I put my Anglia on ebay, I wanna modify it but it's being frowned upon! Hope you have better luck on ebay than I did, I just had lots of chancers and timewasters.

know what you mean kyle. One car i listed had over 70 watchers, i was asked numerous questions and not one person bothered to bid. Why watch it and ask questions if youre not even interested. If it doesnt sell ill repaint it with scallops or flames, slam it and get some moon discs on the wheels. Might even weld some fender skirts on the rear. I don't want to do it really but I'm hankering after a modded classic.

I had 93 watchers on the Anglia! waste of time and money. Some people think punters may have been put off by the Libre alloys and I may have been better off putting the puny standard ice skating blades back on, but I think they suited it and they are at least period. I couldn't modify the Sceptre though, it looks too good as it is! maybe a set of rims though....lol

Its a long way to travel on a "maybe". We might meet up and hate each others cars, who knows? Its about 250 miles from here to somerset so it would be a 250 mile round trip if we met up. I'm busy a lot and Kyle may well be a busy man too. Its difficult to agree on a mutual day/date/place with that kind of distance to cover. Its a whole day to do it. Never mind, maybe it will sell on the bay. Its had a lot of views and i currently have over thirty watchers. It hasnt been listed 24 hours yet. But it will probably finish with 250 watchers, 3000 views and no offers!!! Same sh*t different car lol.
