It's not too far away from me (well about 90 miles) and if's still there by the time my sodding mortgage company get their finger out I may well have a bash at that. Lots of potential there.

If you really want one then I don't get the moaning about distance I wanted another Golf Syncro....... One came up that was the best one I`d "Seen" in about 18 months of keeping an eye open.. Just happened to be in Kendal I live in Southend And I could really have done without it coming up when I was working down in Wiltshire just before I had to go out to France and then off to Japan Didnt stop me getting on the train and buying it 7 hours later though ;D - added £85 on the price and a day to collect in the end... If you want one and it looks decent then speak to the seller and be sure, get some more pics etc Alternatively you could just sit there at the computer and moan how all the decent cars are miles away........

Well said that man! Most of the cars we're into don't crop up that often, so when one does we gotta be prepared to travel! I've been literally all over the country for cars & bikes, sometimes you have no choice. I enjoy finding out the most cost effective way of retrieving my latest wibblepoo, aquisition!

Me too! Going on long trips to round up crud is invariably a great adventure, I love it. Bosh a few tools in your rucksack and get on that National Express/Ryanair/Virgin pendolino*!
*train trips are usually too expensive for car-collecting missions but you might get lucky.

Is it worth the price? I quite like the idea...... That's very, very cheap in my opinion and well worth the money. Can't see how anyone could go wrong at that price and these older Merc's are really starting to appreciate in value now.

Seconded - when I found my current Monza it was 200 miles away - no MOT no tax engine didn't run and all the brakes were siezed..... Borrowed an ex AA recovery vehicle from a "stock car" friend - one day out mid week and 87 quids worth of diesel and it was home....

BC - I find I can't be arsed with any of that at the moment. I spent most of my life doing just during my 20s. I just can't be doing with it right now. Non-runners are no go really. Too much pain. I got my Fifth Ave from London, was only £8 on the train from Nottingham.
I'd only buy from places where theres a decent rail or plane service to. My spirit of adventure is lessened and I have a baby as well now.
TBH I doubt I'll be uying any cars unless i have personally inspected them for a bit anyway and that means fairly local.
