Renault 5 (E reg), in Bradford. 1.4 auto. Was tested last year but now expired. Blowing exhaust but doesn't seem to be anything else that would stop it testing again. £60.

It belongs to a mate of mine. He has it parked up in his yard as he got another car so never bothered with the Renault again, although he was using it daily last year. I don't have pics as its not my car and I'm at work right now. He might be able to take pics on his mobile, but he doesn't have a computer. You can call him on 07870762737, name is Mercury. Car located in Little Horton area of Bradford. Has a noisy exhaust and surface rust on sills, but I don't think they had gone through anywhere. Sills have had welding in the past. Back bumper also had a little bit of plastic chipped off one corner. All that is from memory, I can't say I've looked closely at it recently. Somebody was after a 1.4 Energy engine to go in a Clio so I put them in touch and he said he wants £60 for the whole car which seems fair (weighing in price) but it turned out that E reg has the earlier ohv engine not the Energy engine so it was no use to that guy. I do remember it had very good tyres on it. You can give Mercury a ring and tell him you got the number off Ali the Datsun man. He doesn't know much about cars so its probably better if you see it for yourself as he might not know much himself. He thinks its a classic car.

Your welcome to that 25k Daihatsu Charade 16 Valve I picked up. Lovely car, but would have to be trailered as its an auto and wont tow (Headgasket gone and beyond my limited knowledge). £50 if you want it? (what it owes me)

In spookily similar cicumstances I traded my semi auto Civic to an old boy with a dodgy knee. In exchange I got his '98 3 door Suzuki Swift!!

Red colour, original paintwork all round.
SGL model, top of the range with headlight wipers etc.
B reg 1984
Acquired after death of elderly gent owner
1.3L e-series ohc engine, automatic gearbox.
Early type grille, bumpers, indicators etc.
5dr, with switches in the centre console to lock/unlock rear doors.

Totally rust free apart from paint beginning to lift on one front valance corner where it meets the wing.
Bonnet damaged where it has been closed without the bonnet stay being put back properly, but hardly noticeable. I think its better to let anybody see it like this to show how genuine the car is rather than fit another bonnet and make people start asking why its had a new bonnet.

All wheel arches, boot floor, engine bay etc like it just came out the factory.
Drives faultlessly.

Take a good look at how sound the arches are, and the little damage to the bonnet.

I doubt this car has ever been near a welder.

No tax, but I think it still has some MoT on it

I traded it in for another car as my 120Y is off the road for a bit and I don't like automatics.
Its now with N4J Car Sales in Ripon. Ring Ned on 01765 606870, 07971 023724. He was quite chuffed with the little Cherry and said he might take it to shows. How serious he was about that I don't know. Knowing a car dealer, he will probably sell it if you offer him some cash.
