Okey dokes, collecting a VW Polo hatchback soon from a friend whose dad has sadly passed away. It's an `87 (possibly `88) 3 door hatchback and in VERY good order for the age. Has stood a while but I'm convinced I can get it running ok without any problems. The lowdown:
Darkish blue in colour, 78,140 on the clock. MOT cert's from 1994-2000. Still has the original dealer number plates and even the tax disc holder, plus original plastic wheel centres etc. 80`s tastic radio cassette (with original hand book) plus one of those super 80`s alarm console things on the dash. The bodywork is outstanding for the age, ditto the paintwork underneath the dirt. It's almost completely dent free (in fact you've got to look really hard to find any at all) and just a couple of insignificant surface rust spots. MOT and tax have long since expired. The inner lip of the o/s/r wheel arch has surface rust but it's NOT holed or rotten. The only place on the entire car I can find that will need any attention of note is the battery tray which will want welding. The car is as solid as a rock and no evidence of any previous welding has been spotted. Original bill of sale plus handbooks etc are included. Has a fag burn on the passenger seat and one or two tyres are suspect, almost certainly due to standing: to be on the safe side I'd replace all of them if I were keeping it but that's up to the buyer of course.
Screaming out to be dropped and some wide steels fitted, it'd look uber cool just with those mods imho.
Engine size and number of owners to be confirmed when I collect the V5, though I believe it's a 1.0 or 1.1 if that helps.
Open to offers, no idea at all what it's worth and I'm not a greedy person so don't be shy. One thing's for sure it's absolutely far too good to scrap.
Pictures to follow.
Oh, car is in west Cheshire close to M53/A55/M56 and easy reach of the M6 north and south.
Can deliver, pm me your postcode for a quote though please note it won't be leaving until paid for so if ineterested come and have a shufty and I'll follow you home.
