couple of mates are after a skoda, bigger engine, coupe, on the road, all preferable. gotta be cheap, appearances mean nothing, close to east midlands please.
other cheap, light RWD vehicles considered, this will be a auto trials project i believe.

I'm afraid Skodas have finally started to reach the values they deserve. Expect to pay £500 minimum for a half decent project now.

I've got a Volvo 360 GLT for sale. Gearbox is at the back, so weight is well distributed - good for trials?
Currently a 2.0i, but can supply a 2.3i engine for it plus lots of decent suspension bits. See my thread elsewhere in the for sale section for more details!
Cheers
Carl

I'm afraid Skodas have finally started to reach the values they deserve. Expect to pay £500 minimum for a half decent project now. So I keep reading, but from what I've seen it's only the *real* clean/rare/silly low mileage examples that sell for above this.

Ive sold projects for £500 +. Anything less than that needs lots of welding/ paintwork. You can still pick up cheapies, but they will certainly need work. Agree about the Volvos, ten a penny and very good value. Hundreds of 340's still for sale near me (Eastbourne)

I was aware of a free 120 about a month ago. However, I don't think the owner would want it to be a trails car - no offence. One owner from new jobbie it was. I got my 23k Rapid for a snipe under £200. there was a brown, road-worthy, but slightly ropey Estelle on eBay recently which sounds ideal for what you want. This lovely coop is up for £206. linkthat estelle is off ebay now.
