Hi all Just testing the water at the minute to see if theres any interest. I last started it up and went for a ride round on it about August last year, since then its been sitting in my lockup. As I said in the title, its a 1970's BSA Bantam D175. It has a 175cc engine, but it is registered as a 125cc . When I last started it up, it took a good few kick overs, but was running fantastic. I would guess it only needs a charge (it had a brand new 6v battery put on about a week before so still should be good, just not charged). I should be going to the lockup on the weekend, if I do and I can get the Hornet out, I will post up some more pictures and try and get it running. It has done about 30k miles if I remember right and has the original service card that IIRC has been all stamped up until now. There is no rust or rot anywhere on the bike and was repainted just before I brought it. Although, it was hand painted. The wheels are good on it with OK tyres. The only bad thing on the bike is the rear mud guard is slightly cracked due to some underestimated load area of my dads mates pickup when he shut the flap up. Heres the only pictures I've got at the minute: If you want anymore info, just give me a shout ;D

Subject to the usual array of timewasters marauding the bay at the moment and my fine collection of tat being on there, I`ll start the ball rolling with a genuine and serious offer of £200.

Its a shame Bantams are not worth a great deal. Fanatastic bikes, but for some reason not worth much. Ive never known why.

That seems like cracking value for an old bike. Shame I 'don't do bikes'... since an unfortunate incident with a C90 step-thru when I was 15 ;D

I couldn't get the Hornet out of the way at the weekend, I need some new tyres before I can move it. If needs be, then I can borrow the Revo's off the 1000 just to move it. Got these pictures though: ^ Got the mileage a bit wrong! Only 10.4k!

Its worth a fair bit more than that mate as it is the rarer central plug head model.....the trial lads will snap this off your hands for the engine alone.......would have this but ive already got one of the works trial bantams..... Yes its all alloy;)

^ Oh right. Thanks for that To be honest, I would be happy with £350 as long as it wasn't broken. I've advertised it elsewhere for a tad more. If I have to eBay it, then I would hope for a bit more. Very nice bike BTW Sure you don't want another

Anyone??? Don't make me put it on eBay... I may consider a swap for something... but I would prefer the cold hard cash.
