A what? One of these:
Not my car, I found out about it tonight. I would very much like it for myself, but if someone feels their life wouldn't be complete without it then it would make my life easier
Basically it's a South African model that was imported by its original owner in 1999, he died in 2005 and the subsequent owner is now selling it. It's in Gloucestershire.
Metallic grey with blue velour interior, aftermarket 5-spoke alloys otherwise standard. RB30E six-pot engine (lovely) with auto 'box, supposedly all runs OK. It'll have IRS, which is an unusual spec for R31 (similar ones in Oz have solid rear end). It's done 75k, don't know if that's miles or kms. Some bits underneath will be shared with C32 Laurel, and being an RB engine bits should be no great problem. Apparently it's got some inevitable dinks but no major damage. Sills have been patched for MoT. Current MoT up in January 2008, no tax.
Chap is asking £750, but I think he'll accept less as he knows it's an oddity and he'd like it to go to the proverbial good home. He'd rather not see it drifted to oblivion, but with the RB it would certainly be a tunable beast.
The reason I'm tempted is because I bought a similar manual example out of a Colchester scrapyard a few years ago, see below. I never did get it on the road officially (it now lives with a friend in Holland) so it's one of my 'unscratched itches' of which I have many.
PM me for more details.
