I bought this on eBay recently as a non-runner; it had been stood in a lockup for seven years without moving. A bit of petrol down the carb and a hefty set of jumpleads and it soon roared into life and drove itself onto the trailer (well actually the seller drove it onto the trailer, but you know what I mean). After cleaning seven years' worth of accumulated filth off the bodywork it came up reasonably well. Surprisingly, clutch, brakes & gearbox are all free and working OK. The plan was to put it back on the road and use it as a workhorse with a bit of a difference, or drop a 2.6 turbo Starion engine in it and go looking for Saxos to embarrass. Unfortunately after a brief session with a hammer it became apparent that the sills were held together with little more than underseal and would need replacing, which is a shame, as the rest of the car is pretty solid (door bottoms and rear arches are a bit manky, but quite saveable). Sills for early 80s Mitsubishis don't exactly grow on trees, so I was more or less resigned to making them up myself out of sheet steel (they're a fairly simple shape). However I've now bought myself an even rarer and even rustier vehicle (a Rayton Fissore Magnum, in case you were wondering) and between that and my 1938 Vauxhall 10 I'm going to ahve more than enough welding to contend with over the summer. So I thought I'd put the Mitsubishi on here in the hope of saving it from the various banger racers who have been clamouring for it. As I say, it's in reasonable condition apart from the sills; it drives OK, although it would benefit from a tune-up after being sat for so long; and most of the electrics work, the exceptions being the brake lights and the front wipers. The car owes me £270, but I'd be willing to take a bit of a hit on that if it went to a good home. ![](http://i118.photobucket.com/albums/o83/wuvvum/PICT0263.jpg) ![](http://i118.photobucket.com/albums/o83/wuvvum/PICT0264.jpg)

Welcome to R-R Wuvvum! Please keep me posted on what happens with this - don't resort to selling it to the banger racers without letting me know first. While I don't exactly want another car right now, I've never yet owned a Mitsubishi......

Chester.... how's about you STFU? These guys are free to do what they want as you are free to smash stuff up. In this instance they are prepared to pay more than you. So shut up your whining. ![>:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/angry.png)

There are plenty of people who find it easy to 'hit a raw nerve' sitting in front of a monitor.
If you like old cars and can handle talking about them without intentionally trying to wind people up, then stick around. If you can't then the door's over there.

Chester, you are clearly an utter penis.
I am not 'anti-banger' per se.
But what is the point of calling people dreamers? If they are doing what they makes them happy so be it. You just come across as a bitter, petty twunt with an axe to grind... and that axe does not need to be sharpened here.
You make ZERO constructive contribution to this forum, unlike some of your fellow racers who make an effort to share information, parts and cars.
So if you go shooting your mouth off, you're gonna get shot down. If you don't like what goes on here, why not just sod off. We've already had 'debates' on the subject of racing AND hoarding. All you succeed in doing is moving things backwards by trying to wind people up. I'm pretty sure that some of your racing friends will frown upon this, having you burning the bridges that they have helped to build.

That estate rocks, hope someone saves it. It`s just how I remember them, even down to that colour which suits it soooo much. Good luck with the sale, let`s hope someone sympathetic takes it on.

Only one in the country, as far as I'm aware. Still a few about in southern Europe though. I agree with you about the looks. In fact when I bid on it I thought it'd be about the same size as a Vitara. It isn't...

That one may well be supercharged - mine isn't. It's powered by a 2445cc Fiat Sofim turbo diesel from an Iveco Daily van. Glad to see mine's not the only one that's rusty though...

Wuvvum, I see you've also got that Lancer!
Sorry, none of the above (apart from Mat's pic!) seems to be helping sell your Sigma does it?

If anyone wants a pair of outer sills for this sigma, I may be able to help having struck up a convo with a belgian car panel company who still list em.
Not sure how much they'd cost but I would expect £50 or so would cover buying and shipping em.
let me know if thats oif any interest.
