Well, I've decided to sell pretty much my whole fleet of vehicles
Please post if any interest and then I'll post photo's:
Mk 3 Cortina 1.6 XL- Sorned, no mot, needs at least one front wing, probably both, needs both outer sills definitely, inner ones may need attention. Car's been sitting for 2 years waiting for me to get around to doing it but just never got time. Before me it was owned by one family and is a two owner car. Comes with paperwork since new including bill of sale. Is £700 too much?
Porsche 924, 1979, Snot green, good car, MOT'd for 12 Months, Sorned but I can tax if necessary. V. Little history but a decent retro car. Who wants to own a Porsche for a grand? £1000
Vauxhall Astra 1.2 Merit, no mot, no Tax, needs 3 or 4 50p sized plates welding for mot, rat look anyone? £80 as that's what I'll get from the scrappy for it.
Jaguar Soveriegn 4.0 Auto, BRG, Leather interior, like driving a living room, so comfortable that you could live in it. Mot'd for 12 months, Engine rebuilt less than 1000 miles ago, but big miles on the clock - 150k I think, maybe more - give me £1200 and get a great bargain, these cars will only go up in value. I've spent far in excess of the asking price on this car. Also comes with much history.
Dutton Sierra Jeep, needs a new clutch although it still drives, no Mot, No tax, needs paint job. £300
Land Rover, 1982, Ex military, 24volt, FFR, 10 months MOT but on Sorn - £1300 or close offers.
I may consider offers for the whole lot, and many tools, including industrial air compressor, generator, 110-240 inverter, welder, and many other mechanic tools.
All cars stored in the Essex area within easy reach of London.
Reason for selling up? We've just found out that my father has terminal cancer and I want to spend the money on sharing our last few months together.

Really bad luck with your dad. I also know the feeling and motivation for giving him the best you can. Just been through it myself.
About the compressor and welder, are they 3 phase, what can one get done with them ?

sorry to hear bout your dad mate, unfortunatly the asking price is a bit too much for the tina. £300 would be pushing it(unless its a 2 door of course)

Sorry to hear that news fella.
Not interested in buying anything but wanted to say that it's a very honourable thing your doing, and probably not that easy to let go of all your items like this.
Good luck with everything.

Thanks for your kind words guys.
Grizz - both welder and compressor are single phase. Welder is Clarke 150? I think but compressor is large. I'll only be selling the tools separately after I've got rid of all the cars.
Cortinadale - Thanks, I'm shocked that the value is so low as I thought that Mk 3 were in vogue at the moment. I may consider breaking then as I reckon that I'll get much more for it in parts - I'll have a think about which route I'll take.
Forgot, I've also got a Lancia Beta 1983 Coupe as well not running at the moment. Anything over £400 will get this.

For a 2 owner car with that kind of history i don't think £700 is out of the way tbh. It needs sills and wings but what old fords don't, it doesnt exactly sound like a £300 shed. Is it tax exempt?

Yes, tax exempt, original bill of sale states:
Purchase of One New Cortina 1600 XL 4 dr Tawny Tan Trim. Sports wheels, Inertia belts, Heated rear window, Vinyl roof, underriders, push button radio, servo assisted brakes.
Interestingly enough it's also got one of those wind deflectors that you used to get to clip on the window, a period roof rack, metal dish hubcaps etc.
Oh and I was wrong about 2 owners, it's actually 3. The guy that I bought it from, his mother, and the original owner from new, the father.
I'd hate to break it as I love Mk3's. Do you think that I'd be better off ebaying it?

Having seen the Lancia Beta, I'm revising the price, £700 or near offer.
Have got photo's of the cars but unfortunatley lost the the driver disk for my camera. Anyone know where I can download the driver for an Agfa Easypix SV?

try the Agfa website. google it really. Works for me that sort of thing. Sometimes! The Mk3 Cortina - well- hard to say without pictures but I sold one sounds the same for £700 but it had an MOT. Would be a shame to break it if its a good un but you'll struggle to get much for it in bits as the 1.6 has all the undesirable running gear in it etc. and I couldn't GIVE away a nice stock Mk3 interior in black (best colour) when I upgraded mine to a Mk5 ghia interior.... Try an add on www.buysellcortina.co.uk and old skool ford before eBay. I'd love another Mk3 but I just can't take any cars on right now. FWIW I'd expect to pay £350 - £500 for a decent project car without an MOT.

Cheers Alistair, I've tried the Agfa site and even emailed them but unfortunately they sold off their camera division and don't have a download of the driver for my camera.
As for BSC I do go on there and have done for years. I know Bortaf pretty well.
If you do find room for another project I've also got a Mk3 GXL that I may be willing to LEND out...not sell. It needs new locks, new vinyl roof, but apart from that I think that it is sound. I'm not selling it though as I've only ever wanted to own two cars and that is one of them.
