1) Rover 114GSi (yeah, the `posh` Metro). 1995 and reg (one of the last) metallic green, 5 door with MOT until June. Not running but nearly there. Kyle`s had a look and is convinced it's something very simple like plugs and/or dizzy cap/rotor arm as crank sensor is fine as are cambelt and ECU. I'll have a go at getting it running later in the week.
2) God awful Mondeo 1.8 Ghia manual, `P` reg (Mk1). Horrible looking thing with all manner of nasty scratches/dents.sh*t but tested until August and starts and drives well enough. Ideal to shonk around in while your car is getting restored or mended. £100.
Willing to swap either or both for a set of 15, 16 or 17" alloys to fit a Mk2 Cavalier. No oe ones though please, some form of lovely after marketness spankery would be cool.
Cars are near to Chester in very easy reach of M53/M56/A55/M6 and delivery can be arranged.

Shame you're so far away, would've done you a deal on a nice Mk2 cav SRI...... ;D

Yes! Do me a deal on a Mk2 SRi! Can meet up somewhere if wanted. Cav Mk2 SRi`s rock, still missing my 1800 facelift and even the Calibre (despite what it cost to get it hrough the MOT!).
Oh, reckon the Mundano would probably drive anywhere and I could tax it at cost if anyone wanted.

Any idea what else the Vectra needs for MOT? I think I would actually drive up to you and bring it back on trade plates. Has it got any history? cambelt replacment due?

Eff all on the history front mate! Will need an exhaust, or part of it as some looks pretty new and about 3 tyres. However I`ve almost certainly got the tyres here and could probably even fit them too with new valves. As regards to what else it might need I`m not aware of anything but don`t know that much about the car. If it`s any good I`m more than willing to let it be inspected by someone. What I`d suggest that if you know someone round this way then ask them to come and have a thorough look at it and pm, e-mail or phone you with their findings. That way you`ll have an independant inspection of it and they may well spot something I haven`t. I don`t tell lies about cars and I don`t exaggerate/bodge either, my eBay feedback will confirm this as will testaments from other people on various forums, hence my suggestion you could get someone to look over it for you.

Do you know if the Mondeo has got the Zetech engine?

Yes it has mate, looked at it yesterday when cleaning it. 1.8 16V Zetech, can try and capture a closer pic of engine bay if wanted?
Test expires 17th August 2007 btw.
