cheers for posting guz my number is 07771 537739 neede the cash realy as the car was to pay off some depts owed to me , it needs welding to the boot floor / and pass foot well and a small piece on the rear chassis if its not sold before easter I may do them over easter engine needs tuning but is running just needs mixture and correct points and plug gaps setting again gaps I will look at over easter, ( the guy set them to what he thought was right by a chevy engine and there wrong for a holden) I have been told the propshaft needs ballencing as it starts to vibrate at 70+ and needs a speedo drive for the chevy box then body wise need attention around the windows I have been honest so you know know all I do about it , its a cheap hotrod for some one and is drive away bargain

heres a pick of the motor , i thing gpspeedshop is who my mate got it off. he was told the motor is a 4.2 but since found holden don't make a 4.2 so it could be 4l or 5l the bonnet scoop just needs rubbing down and painting again now its a sensible size .

I think Holden did a 4.4 in the early 70s. Jay, if you want to flog the Ventora LMK, I kinda regret selling mine and might want to own another... Although now I've sold all my parts, manuals and other stuff for it... guz - I thought this was going to be the pro-street PA when I saw the title. This PC rocks But possibly not for me at the mo, although I'm going to regret saying that. Hmmm... might take a look and see if I'm tempted...

Hi Alistair, and sorry for thread jacking dudes BTW but I really want this v8 for drag racing If you are interested mate then give me a call, I remember you giving me loads of advice and inforamtion about them when I first joined which I really appreciated. The car is solid, it's been painted in Post Box red but not brilliantly. When I bought it I was told it had been professionally sprayed, but it hasn't trust me. Having said that as you can see from the pictures it is very presentable. I can PM you some more details, it has an oil leak that I believe is the crank seal? But to be honest you'll probably know better. I have a workshop manual and a new speedo, even though it doesn't need it, a spare fuel tank and loads of other bits and bats with it. Right enough hi-janking I think we'd better go to the phones PS Phil, I'll give you a ring in a bit mate

If you can PM me pics and details would be good, and an idea how much you want for it. I'm most interested in the inner wings, rear arches, that sort of thing, usual rot (filler!) spots.
Are the door shuts. inside boot/bonnet painted?
They all leak oil from one end or the other IME.
Sorry no Cresta or Holden bits to help you out with but might have a decent 4 barrel Holley to trade?
