Hello
I have been reading these boards for a while now and I am very very jelous about all the great cars on here. No money or space is a problem at the monet but I WILL have a retro someday.
Anyway I have recently broken my escort and was wondering if it would be ok if I was to advertise the bits I have left off of it on here (I understand that with this being my first post that it may not be welcomed)
It was a P plated 1.8 Si 3 door.
I have a few bits going still so if a mod can let me know if it is ok to post the list of parts then I will.
Thanks James

I'm pretty sure hotwire would say its fine to advertise those bits on here and then you'll have a post count off 2 - so all the more reason to get involved and carry on contributing welcome to R-R

try www.passionford.co.uk or even oldskoolford. or theres an Escort forum for the later ones but I don't know what its called. I'd have thought a kit car person would want the 1.8 Zetec lump. You could also try changing your post title to "Ford Escort Parts for Sale" might help drum up some trade.

Alastairk,
I helped mcgee take these bits off his 'scrote and the engine is one thing you would not want. The MAF was buggered and hence running rich, doing about 15 mpg if I remember right.
It was also imbibing oil like OPEC on those oft televisied 'Kuwaiti pyromania craze' (c. Baudrillard 1990)

IIRC passionford don't allow ads unless you are a goldmember or summat! Ebay might be best bet Welcome BTW sniff through the ebay thread on the general page, usable retro's come up cheap at times

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

escort evolution is where you wanna be with this stuff BUT be warned they mite might be a bit harsh as a few of them got ripped off by some guy hitting the car forums !!!! so would post up collection only as they carnt get ripped off then (unless it duff & cant be tested )
