Hi All, I'm helping my Dad clear out his back yard after a life time of VW parts hoarding! First to go are some wheels. They're all decent but could do with a rub down and paint. All with tyres which would be ok to stand a vehicle on but I wouldn't fancy trying to get an MOT with them!  1. Type 2 standard 14inch steel wheels. Set of 5 for £20, or £5 each.  2. Beetle standard 15inch steel wheels. Set of 5 for £20, or £5 each.  3. Beetle GT 15inch steel wheels. Set of 5 for £30, or £10 each.  4. Set of four Beetle fitment 15inch Empi replica alloys. Two good tyres, two bad tyres - 195/50/15. £120 ono   All parts to be collected from Cheshire, discounts available if you buy in bulk! ;D PM or reply for here if interested. Cheers Stu |

tyres would give you a rough size? over 155's gotta be 5.5?

tyres would give you a rough size? over 155's gotta be 5.5? From zooming in on the high-res version of the photo I have the tyres look to be 135/70/15's - would that mean they are the narrower wheels? |

those gt wheels 4.5J or 5.5J ? Good question! Anyone know? Are they available in both sizes and will it be stamped on them somewhere? Should be stamped on the face of the whell, just out from the wheelbolts, opposite the VW symbol. If they came off a 'normal' bug, they'll be 4.5, 5.5's were only on 1303's IIRC. That tyre isn't a 135! If they are 5.5's I'd be interested in looking after 2 of them... |

Update on the GT Beetle wheels - the one I looked at the other day did indeed have a 185 tyre on it and is quite wide so I reckon it's a 5.5J. I compared it against some other GT wheels I've found which are stamped 4.5J (with a 165 tyre on) and it's definitely a lot deeper dish, see pics below. 4.5 wheel  wider wheel, still can't see any marking on it though...  Anyway, there's defintely 4 or 5 of the narrower ones, only found one wider one so far but I expect I'll un-earth another soon if anyone wants them for a tenner each? |

Still got these, also found a set of four part worn 195/50/15 tyres in the back yard too so will throw those in with the Beetle alloys, should make up a decent set of tyres for them |
