	Thats the puppy, although mostly they had large rectangular headlights. As I recall it, Motor described it as the most dangerous car they had ever road tested with excessive understeer snapping without provocation into wild oversteer. Doors which locked themelves shut, windows which wound thenselves down, and IICR theres a different number of turns form straight to full lock depending on if you turn left or right! I have wanted one ever since. Back in the good old days the bread man had a "sedan delivery" version of this. Remember when stuff like fizzy pop, bread, eggs, milk, etc. was sold door to door rather than just at Tesco?

	Our window cleaner (years back) had a Wartburg Knight, which was sort of similar to thiese but I think had a two stroke engine. Someone the other side of town has what I think is a later (UK) reg`s Wartburg, eft hand drive and in a fantastic original shade of lurid green. Really does look beautiful in a kind of odd way. Old Eastern Bloc cars rock as far as I`m concerned

I`ll pm him soon and see if I can get some contact details, any joy I`ll post a message up on here or pm you. SuprisingSkoda, any chance you get a couple of pics of the `burg and post them or pm them to me please? I know I`m very sad but these kinds of car really do it for me! In return if you, or anyone else, is interested I`ll try and capture the green one (with owner`s permission) the other side of town and post up a piccy. Really needs to be seen! Incidentally didn`t there used to be a club for older eastern bloc cars called something like the USR (Unloved Soviet Register)? Seem to remember something about them in Practical Classics once?
