Ok it's decision time as i've just got a raddo g60 and I'm toying with the idea of a 1.9 conversion for it so fund's have to come from somewhere after fitting the new dizzy and taking it for a spin i don't want to but i'll see what interest i get....
I've posted details of this on a post in the vehicles wanted section but now i think about it i might put it up for sale so i guess I'm testing the water as it won't be mot'd till the end of this week.
Anyway mk1 gti 83 resprayed in montreal blue (bmw colour) it has a full leather interior using the original seats but with new foam so the seats are nice and firm new custom carpets to match.
It has a full clipper kit,eyebrow spoiler and 14 inch bbs wheels.
it has had a full renovation mechanically including new loom upgraded lights smoked rear lenses.
Now the good bit.
1700 engine with ported and gasflowed head piper highlift cam new valves and pistons sachs comp clutch lightned bottom end and short shift linkage stainless exhaust
Also had a new coil dizzy cap and rotor arm.
This is a seriously quick mk1 i also have a raddo g60 and this is on par with that the previous owner quoted 165-175bhp and i don't doubt it.Certainly the quickest mk1 i've been in and definatly a street sleeper as most people would'nt expect a car this old to have such a quick turn of speed.
