Need a manual gearbox from a mk3 Escort! 5 speed, so anything from a 1.3 or 1.6, injection or carb.
Will consider a diesel gearbox too, and i've been told the mk5/6 diesel gearboxes will fit too (but not the mk5/6 petrol varients)
What have you?
Check your pockets, back of the sofa etc etc.....

i have a 1300cc cvh gearbox but like u said b4 i'm too far away, also i hav a couple of mk4 xr3i boxes too!

hello mate, its yours for £40 if you want it? I'm in harwich essex (near colchester). don't think mk 4 5 or 6 box will fit as the mountings are different at the front? mk3 box has a mount on the front which bolts to the box and anti roll bar, later ones use a crossmember? |

I'm sure the mk5 box will fit i know the mk4 wont fit but whoever told you a diesel box out of a mk5 will fit but the petrol wont is not sure what he is on about as the its just the ratios that are different (but check around to be 100% ) you will have to ghange your gearbox mounts from the mk3 box to the mk5 but the holes are there just make sure you get the gearbox that has the starter at the front of the box as some later ones had it at the back |

Yeah I wasn't sure about the mk5 petrol box, but if that fits too then I should find one easily!
