Car details Monza GSE - White
Date of registration > 1st August 1986 ('D' plate).
Number of keepers > 7.
Engine > 3.0Ltr straight six, electronic fuel injection.
Gearbox > Manual 5-Speed Gertrag
Interior > Dark brown velour, Recaro seats.
I live in Shepperton (near Heathrow), which is where the car is located.
I'm informed that this was one of the last Monza's ever produced. The
engine was completely rebuilt a little while before I had to take it off the road. There is currently no MOT and no tax. It has some body damage to the off-side and insurers have deemed it uneconomic to repair. So rather than have it sat somewhere in a scrap yard I wanted to try to pass it on to an enthuisiast or owners club who would be able to make use of it.
It has been off the road now for about 18months and I really need to
move it on reasonably quickly (if possible, by 31st December!). I have attached a couple of photos - the first shows the condition at the time of taking it off the road and the second gives an indication of its current condition after having been stood for a while. I'm not looking for any form of payment - but would ask that anyone that may have an interest collects the vehicle.
Further email information
Thanks for your reply. Please find attached a couple more photos, the first of these showing the damage to the off-side. As you can see, the car needs a bit of a wash too, but basically the damage is to the off-side drivers door and the off-side wing behind the drivers door. The photos also give an indication of rust to the body-work.
I am under pressure from the Residents Association to move the car from the garage block where it is currently stored. So although I'm almost on borrowed time, I think they will live with this if you feel you may be able to find a home for it soon. And in answer to your last point, as you can see from the photos, the car has been stored outside.
If you'd like to talk through any of the above, or have any further questions please feel free to call on the number below or send me an email.
