Citroen BX GTi phase 2 mark 1 hatchback. 1989 F` reg, long MOT (about July, will check and amend if neccessary). It`s the 1.9 eight valve engine (same as Pug 205 GTi 1.9) and these are rapid and torquey motors.
Shed loads of service history (most of the earlier services were by Citroen main dealer) and has been owned by two other members of the BX Club before me.
I`ve just had the boot floor/side welded to a very high standard (it`s a common area on these), two new rear exhaust sections and new plugs, all by a garage. I also have a new disy cap and rotor arm (unfitted) to go with the car. It doesn`t need them at the moment but they are included.
I`ve also replaced the rear bumper as the last owner had cut a hole in it to fit a towbar which he never got round to. I`ve resprayed the replacement bumper and fitted it but there are some runs in the paint. Not too bad but they are there, though car looks 100% better now.
Glovebox hingers are fine (another BX trait) and it starts and drives very well though typical PSA engine a little smokey on start up, suspect valve stem oil seals.
This car (bumper aside) is in very original condition, original interior (very tidy bar a couple of small fag burns), electric front windows, power steering etc etc etc.
You need to drive one of these cars to appreciate them-the ride really is like the proverbial `magic carpet` it`ll eat miles like they`re not there and they`re extremely comfortable and fun to drive too.
Bad points? Fag burns and rear bumper as mentioned, one rear arch cover dented (should pull out ok)some marks on the bodywork as to be expected and the heater control valve has stuck in one position (cold, bloody typical!). this is a common BX fault and will probably want a new cable.Any other faults i`ve forgotten I`ll post up if I remember them.
Parts are readily available new and used, owner`s club is one of the best you`ll ever find with loads of free/cheap parts, offers of help etc and the car will only appreciate in value.
Currently running aftermarket alloys with matching Goodyear 195-60-14`s but these are a little wide (fouling rear arches slightly) and standard wheels and original trims included instead.

Price? £395 ono with steels and original trims.Any trial/inspection welcome.
Recovery truck MIGHT be for sale too.
