Its a 1992 1.8 LXi 5 - door - or is it? In 1995 it had a 2.0 DOHC fitted at a Ford dealership, there is a bill for £1700 + to back this up with the paperwork. 89,000 miles showing, mint interior, very, very good bodywork, solid underneath, engine has been run up to temperature and seems fine, no sign that head gasket has gone or anything like that, still got its proper wheeltrims, there is some history with it up to `98, which bears out the mileage, I`ve driven it around the yard and it feels good, very quick off the mark. I`ve changed the price to reflect the value of an MOT-less car in the real world - £500 with a full test, £250 without.

If you read it again, no there isn't. Nice as it is, that's strong money for a MOTless Sierra.

Yeah I also agree, so I`ve changed the script - £500 with a full MOT. I forget that in the real world a car without an MOT can be a bit of a daunting prospect.

250 is still stong money tho I got £300 for one a few months back with 180-odd thousand miles on and a shabby interior, purely because it was solid. £250 seems reasonable enough to me!

Don't sound too bad, could easily be interested myself if I knew what the 2007 plan was exactly or could rob a post office. blimey you are shockingly local too! the MOT less bit will always be a worry to those unable to fully diagnose whats needed, like me!

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

I`ll be fitting the starter motor it needs this week, (already have it) and then getting it through the MOT. I`ll post an update on it when thats actually happened.
Believe me I`m not trying to make a fortune on this, I make my living out of the moderns, I only bought it so I`d get a chance to play about with it and hopefully route it onto someone who will get some enjoyment out of it. If I didnt have a XR4x4 I would be keeping it no question, its gonna look beautiful once I`ve got to work with the T-cut!

£500 for it MOT'd seems fair enough. Good luck with it! My Dad had one the same age (minus rear spoiler and still 1.8) and I really liked it.

i thought the £700 was fair enough, this is now a solid bargain. the £250 end is spot on now too so long as she's clean like said so long as you make your money on the moderns everyones all happy
