Always wanted a porsche, just bought one on the bay and about to buy another tomorrow to start months of swearing attempting to make one good one so need to sell the Scirocco for space and cash!
E-Reg Scirocco GTX - 1.8 8v in Black, registered August 1987.
Approx 107k. Tax runs out end of month, long MOT - runs out August 10th 2007.
I've got pretty much every MOT (think I'm missing two in nearly 20 years), a stamped VW service hisory up to 55k, been done by owners since. Also loads of other receipts for various work done.
In the last 6 months it's had -
Lowering springs (40mm), new shocks, new front top mounts, new front brake discs and pads, clear repeaters, K&N filter.
For the MOT it had new brake lines front to back (ouch!) and new rear cylinders in the drums.
Prior to me buying it 6 months ago it's had back box, points and plugs.
It runs great, and as some of you know managed a long day at Santa Pod without shedding a tear - managed 16.9s qtr mile. It really is a solid car.
Good Bits -
Sound body, good paintwork for year, full set of P-slots with centres (one spare centre as well), good condition interior with Sony CD face off stereo, K&N filter. Even got the original VW rubber mats! Has the tilit and slide roof that works. Two keys that fit all the locks.
Bad points -
Drops a few drops of oil now and again, bit tapety from cold, the odd stone chip you'd expect, couple of small spots of rust on doors, slight scrape on nearside arch trims:
I think within the next few years it might need the fuel tank or neck looking at but other than that I don't see it needing much money for the next few years. The expensive stuff like brake lines have been done.
Spent approx £700 on it in last 6 months, would rather went to someone on here. Inspections welcome, I'm in Milton Keynes, J14 of M1.
