Hi, I've decided to try and sell my Lada, I bought it a few months ago as a back up motor for CARS in case the All-aggro played up which it did ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/sad.png) , anyway it got me to CARS and back no problems, was even good fun ragging it round the auto-test track ![8-)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cool.png) I bought it for £100 with a short MOT, see Previous sellers listing but the MOT has now expired and I chopped in the remaining tax, for the MOT it will need some welding as I discovered when I tried to jack up the front to check the brake pads and the jacking point went a bit crumbly ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/sad.png) It's low mileage, runs very well, has got a tidy interior, towbar and a quality retro Pioneer head unit. I was going to buy a welder and get it through it's next MOT but when I weighed up the cost of a welder and considered that I can't weld (yet) I though it would be better to try and sell it to someone who can sort it themselves much cheaper/easily. I can take more piccies tomorrow but at the moment I only have the one piccie from CARS and the ones on the old listing. Offers between £0-£100 invited, it will go on E-bay in a week if not sold as I need to get it gone as my mom ![:-[](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/embarrassed.png) is moaning about the drive looking like a scrapyard and have my eye on other cars ![8-)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cool.png) ![](http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l290/jammz_r/DSCN2450800x600.jpg)

Car is located at B23 post code, I will take the best offer, I know people can get annoyed by sellers asking for offers but in I am not asking for "serious" offers whatever they are, just an offer between £0-£100. I would hope it would make at least £50 on e-bay but if it's going to go to someone on the site I would take less.

Is it just the jacking points want doing? And are you selling it with the twink conversion bits? Or even the whole Delta you bought If yes & yes, I'll start the bidding at £25..... ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png)

I'm pretty sure it's just the jacking point's that need doing, but it could fail on other things I'm not aware so that's not a guarantee. It doesn't come the twink conversion bits because all I have is a Delta engine with FWD box sitting on my drive which I also need shot of ![:'(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cry.png) That thread running at the moment about being a doer or a sayer has made me realise that I am currently more of a sayer at the moment, I can tinker with a car but full on engine swaps are a bit too involved me thinks! ;D As a guy at CARS said, learn how to weld and drop a LS1 Chevy lump in it Though putting £5K plus worth of yank V8 in a £100 Lada would be pretty daft/insane/very cool! Ps Does that make your bid £0.25 now then Pog? ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) If so your still the current high bidder ;D Pps Getting a new motor tomorrow ![8-)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cool.png) You heard it here first

Sorry to lower the tone..
These make such good hard bangers, wind up the mixture screw to as rich as you can without the engine cutting out and they really fly. Problem is on the newer ones you need to take off all the electronics, the carb and exhaust system and replace them with pre cat items.
That seems to be the main problem keeping these red beasts on the road too, running with a CAT and a carb means that many were scrapped at their first MOT as they couldnt get though the emission test. yes 3 year old scrappers!!

no, double wishbone at the front, coils and panhard road at the rear, bit like a cortina.

Car now sold, thanks for all the interest! No worries about lowering the tone Tim, I bet they do make a good banger, it felt pretty much bullet proof for the time I did have it on the road, was good fun on the autotest too ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) Could have done with an LSD though:) The whole cat thing is a problem as you say being a post 1994 model, they stopped importing them around 1997 as they could no longer meet emissions with the carb and and Vaz couldn't afford to purchase fuel injection gear from GM. I can see my self owning another one in the future, I'm not joking when I say it's one of the best cars I've ever had to drive, better than a 1998 Rover 25 bubble thats for sure.

I was given a P reg one about 3 years ago that had failed the MOT on emissions, I took it somwhere else and it passed! Always started first time and was very comfy, nippy too! All the bad press about them turned out to be total bulls**t I ended up selling it for £200, they guy was chuffed to bits with it.
Ive been told that in Russia and a few other places you could buy the lada riva with the GM injection system fitted, and if you can find one to rob of bits its an easy swap onto a U.K model.
