right, posting this up for my partner as she is selling her P100...
1993 / K reg
1.8TD - good engine, will run all day more than happy...
Blue, with the bed painted black...
Tax and Mot for another couple of weeks i think...
It is a good car that has a few problems... the most important being that at the moment we have to bump start it to get it going... the starter spins but doesn't engage, we have been told that it is a fault with the ring gear and it needs replacing... Ford still list the ring gear at about £40, and its not a huge job to do... drop the gear box, cut off old ring gear, heat up new one and slide it on...
for the MOT it will probably need the back wheel bearings doing, but these are only a few quid...
Body work wise it is all solid, but the drivers side is a little bit "textured" where a lorry decided to try and go through the car rather than round it... It has been looked at by both the insurance company and an independent mechanic who both confirm that there is no structural damage, just cosmetic.
Last thing that i know about of hand is that the drivers door lock doesn't have a key... it locks from inside fine, just the door was replaced with a new one after the incident with the lorry and the guy that was selling it didn't have the key, again not a major job, a new set of locks can be bought of ebay for not much money...
and thats about it. its a good little pick up.. great for lugging around all those retro car parts, and unlike a lot of them it hasn't been thrashed by builders or farmers! The only reason its going is that she has bought herself a new toy in the guise of a series 3 land rover to play about in...
I shall have pictures this evening if anyone is interested...
make us an offer, but considering complete non runners are going on ebay for £120 - £150 ish we would like a bit more than that seen as you can come and drive it away..
Cheers
