my poncho for sale.. see pics in the readers rides section. needs rear seat covering (striped bare) is rhd! satin black. little 283 smallblock chevy (matching numbers) on gas. a couple of rust bubbles and tidying here and there. extra paint with car.. but not too bad. the front wishbones inner wings etc had new bushes 4 years ago. at the same time it had new boot skin all door skins replaced fron the handles down. new boot floor. new rear quarters from top of wheelarch down.. the engine was rebuilt then aswell but the pistons should have been replaced/rebore.. as it has a bit of piston slap.. no oil burning though drives well and on gas.. it is 18 and a half feet long.. and 'kin menacing.. ace for a bb chevy.. it has got to go.. 2500 quid as it is or i will do the nessisary bits and list it for 4500........ get yourself one BIG bargain... just make sure you have a big enough driveway/garrage.. new window/door rubbers, carpet, some other spares spare wheels etc... also the number plate is quite valuable "PGP 8E" si i can send pics through email if anyone is interested.. including the bad bits in detail..

If I had the space it would be cool to keep this in the locality but I'd like to come and have a gawp before you sell it. Good luck.

What is it like to live with a full size yank? Surely too big for daily use?
Its quite a motor though, I was going to buy a mercury monarch a couple of years ago but decided against it due to the size, and the monarch isnt much bigger than a granada

The Monarch is smaller than the Pontiac for sure. I drive a full size yank every day (when it works) and the only problem I have is parking in the city. NCPs are often no-go areas, you ground out on the ramps and the bays are to tight with not enough turning space. On-street parking can also be a challenge. I park my Olds in a multi story every day for work but only because theres a space for me on the ground floor. The attendants have actually reserved it as my space LOL. Its an extra wide disabled space. A couple of the city NCPs I can get the Buick in (its not as low as the Olds so I can get up the ramps although I do scrape the exhausts). A smaller yank with stock ride height should be fine. I used to take my Chrysler Fifth Avenue anywhere and everywhere. Its just that bit narrower and shorted than a proper full size (its a down sized full size to be exact!). I miss that car

Hi There,
I own this car now. Bought it off Will. Its been back with Neville Partridge now for nearly two years and we have totally bare metalled it and replaced both front wings, four new door skins, sorted the bonnet and roof etc etc. Shes currently in grey primer and awaiting a respray in the new year. Pop down and have a look if you want!
Cheers Ian
