With the prospect of a near 90 mile a day commute looming, and nowhere to work on the wee beastie (no drive or garage) it might be time to sell the Golf . I'm not 100% sure about this, but i don't want to be piling miles on it really.
A bit about the car;
Taxed till Nov 06, MOT till Feb 07, 88,000 miles.
1982 VW Golf C, originally a 1.1, but engine was swapped for a mighty 1.3 (HK Code) at some point, and it has a polo 5 speed box. The engine itself is standard internally as far as i know, but has a Weber carb and K&N on it.
The car is lowered 60mm on GMax springs, but with the original shocks. Front shocks have had new inserts, and there are new(ish) strut top mounts. The P-Slots all have good tyres, but the spare aint brill. (also p-slot).
Bodily the car is very solid, though the paint is faded, and slightly different colours on some panels. The sills are very good inside and out, and the floors, and boot floor are solid. (though this has been welded at some point).
The interior is from a Gti, and the seats are ok, but the drivers seat has the usual bad wear on the bolster.
I'll put up some more photos later, but the cameras being a pain at the moment.
I'm looking for an optomistic£650 for it (feel free to point out if this is well off the mark), but i'm very much open to offers or a swap. I'd happily swap for a Golf MK2, or something else with a little more poke, but i do have to consider insurance.
