After a 2.0ltr 8 valve engine for the Scirocco - preferably with low / average mileage.....on it's own or the whole car.

"It is a 2 ltr 8v golf engine (1998) with 67000 miles on the clock ( will double check)
The engine has a piper cam and the ECU has been superchiped. All work was carried out by Grant motorsport and has 150 bhp.
I have the ECU, engine wiring loom, clocks, key, transponder, air box and flow meter and fusebox and of course the engine.
I think the only thing that is missing is the coil.
I am after £700 for the lot. Pm me if interested, I am located in crawley near Gatwick airport.

Theres been a few come and go on E38 recently, but this is the only one i can find currently: www.edition38.com/board/viewtopic.php?t=47814Theres about 4-5 16V lumps of various types, a couple of VRs and a G60... sure you cant be tempted into something more potent? |

Thanks for the link pimpdriver - but £700 is a bit more than I want to pay. SteB - It's my daily driver so need something relatively reliable / economical - so I think the 2.0ltr 8v should be ample (plus I might be tempted to run it on twin 40 DCOE's and a hot cam  ) |

I've got the 2E engine from my old Vento - its done 140K and ran ok. The gearbox had a new clutch fitted last year and was fine. £100 for the lot.

I saw what I think is an Audi 80 2.0l for sale in Newbury somewhere for £300. It looked a bit on the rusty side! If the engine is the right one I'll see if i can find it again and get the phone number for you if you want.
