My brother has just replaced his 740 GLE with an identical car, only 4 years newer (same colour and everything ;D). So the old one is surplus to requirements.
I currently have it listed on ebay: cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4652531316. It still has MOT for another 3 weeks but no tax. Starting at £10 with no reserve, to be honest if it makes more than £50 I will be amazed, so offers would be accepted around that level for a quick finish
This is a good solid (scruffy paint and interior, but no rot) rear-wheel drive car with reasonable grunt (131bhp) that has just been to Germany (to the Nurburgring for the recent rock festival) and back, 900 miles using no oil or water. It had a service and pre-MOT check before it went - our local mechanic notes it will need new brake pads all round (£30 tops for parts) but there is still a couple of thousand miles in them. He also mentioned a slight weep around the water pump but with the addition of some Radweld there has been no further dripping.
Car is in Newbury, Berkshire (on my drive taking up valuable retro space!) - anyone interested, PM me. Cheaper than hiring a car for the next 3 weeks if you are caught short!
