We went last year. Had a good time... Plus points: Show and Shine Barbeques every day Surfer chicks in bikinis Lots of beer Friendly fellow petrol heads Minus points: Tw@t element at the site - there for the "Music" Cars getting damaged by afforementioned tw@ts Cold showers Water pistol-toting yokels...WTF is that about?! We'll probably be going this year, although we may not stay at the site as there were just too many f*ckwits there who couldn't give a sh!t about the cars (some didn't even know it was a VW/Modded car meet!). Saw this bootiful Type 3 that one c*cksucker jumped on the bonnet and coshed it all in . We'll probably stay at a different site nearby and go into Newquay for the show / to cruise / ogle the talent

not sure yet depends on the cash flow situation. i know what you mean about the scum element. a nice campsite thats not to far out of newquay that shouldnt be over run with silly-billies is the trethiggy site, near to quintrell downs.not as expensive as trevelgue and has all the ammeneties required.pm me if you want anymore details. if i go i wont have to camp i can stay with my mate who lives there thus avoiding c*ck smokers in chav mobiles.

Cheers tonycocacola, I'll PM ya for that site. Not 100% sure if we'll have the funds to go this year either.... Best day was the show and shine, and cruzin' the streets in MASSIVE retro convoys!!

I went last year and really enjoyed it. I had been pre-warned about the boy racer invasion before i went! and to be honest they didn't seem to cause any bother and theres plenty of Halford's disasters to laugh at! Going again this for year for sure as i go down for the week and have my b'day down there

Forgot to say i didn't stay on the main site as i was told it was full of people i wouldn't want to socialise with, so stayed about 7 mile outside newquay.

I'd be up for it if we can get enough people together. I went a few years ago, before it turned into a curse word-fest, and it was a pretty cool weekend. Hopefully I'll have a car finished by then too. Maybe we could sort out a retro-rides campsite.

that would be cool.if we could get a posse in effect id be willing to trade my nice house for the back of the car. theres loads of campsites that are nice, cheap and just out of the town. i can feel an overtime attack coming on ;D

It'd be really cool if there was a bunch of us going! We were really disappointed about Trevelgue - way too many morons there. TBH we didn't think the music thing was so big but apparently in some places it's billed more as a music festival and not a car meet. Can't stand dance music!! The lowrider guys got their acts together - they had static caravans booked and everything! It's the May Bank Holiday weekend isn't it? That's a bit close now... hope I get the Merc finished!!

I stopped going when i saw it advertised in the back of the NME and Q magazine. I'm all in favour of music festivals (been to enough of them) but I wouldnt leave my car on the campsite.

Haha! A cunning plan! I'll convince the Missus it'll be a nice place for a lil' break (of course omitting to mention the "retro car" element! ). Trebarber Farm is a good campsite. Stayed there many a time. That said, the wife doesn't "do" camping. Just have to buy a nice Camper Van then!

When is this? Where? I'll bring down a convoy from our local scene. I know plenty of car nutters/musicians/general cool people who like having a good time who'd love to go.
