for sale on behalf of a friend:
It's a Red 1986 Mk2 GTX. No MOT (can sort one tho) and taxed til the end of June.
I've owned the car about 2 months, but a change of plans (was gonna stick the engine in my golf, but felt the car was too good) and moving back down south at short notice mean I can't really keep it.
It's fitted with a TSR Silverstone Engine 2.1 stroked 8v (standard bore, but long throw crank) 285degree cam, big valve head 4 Branch manifold and what appears to , It was fitted by the previous owner (well... fitted by TSR, but financed by the P.O.) about 4 years ago at a cost of about £3500. Dyno'd recently at 149bhp.
It has bigger diameter drilled and grooved brakes fitted, neuspeed strut brace, Eibach lowering springs and after market antiroll bars fitted.
The car is located in Walsall at the moment as it lives at a friends house. I can bring it home with me to Winchester when I move in 3 weeks (therefore to no-rice in July if I can sort insurance).
Pics taken 2 weeks ago:
the Paint is pretty bad, especially on the roof, wheels are 14" no idea what brand or style. Has a random piece of metal where the Numberplate normally is, not seen many sciroccos to be honest, but never seen one of them before. Car has electric windows, central locking, sony tape player lots of other stuff.
It comes with a bootfull of spares, Head from previous engine transplant, electric window motors etc. Most parts I can't eve identify!
I will not break this car for parts. I don't have te time or space to have an immobile car.
I don't want a lot for it, I just want it to go to a good home really.
If you're interested drop me an email ( paul.topfuel@gmail.com ) and I'll consider any serious offer.
Will do my best to answer any questions, but I haven't done any of the work myself, and don't know what to look for cos I've only had golfs in the past.
Thanks.
Paul
