Don't know if this would apply to anyone on here but I'm thinking of selling the plate on the Skoda if no-one wants the car- F944 EGT '89 reg, if the car gets scrapped someone may as well have the plate if they were interested. I accidentaly made the mistake of putting a thread on a porsche forum, I never realised an advert could upset people so much. Not reccomended.

Never trust a man Who names himself Trevor. Or one day you might find He's not a real drug dealer.

Hmm they replied in about 2 seconds though, and all they could have done was said 'Okay we don't appreciate this, please participate in the forum before trying to sell things'. I figured if you're trying to sell a pig you take it to market? But anyway they did warm up a bit afterwards, probably as you say because I stuck around, I don't back away so easily! Speaking of which a guy in a cavalier tried to own me coming home in the mini on the A180 with mum and dad in- let's just say he learnt his lesson

hey jenn I think your post about the gear knob was quite funny, athough you can usually get a knob with a porsche for free at the local wine bar, easy to find hes the one with no friends!!!

I don't know whether they realised I wasn't all that awestruck by 911 owners, I thought the 'better than not having one' remark was hilarious.

Sorry, they came across as a bunch of w@nkers to me, thereby participating in the image we all have of MOST (NB; not all) 911 owners. I think they only warmed to you because you're a girl. Had you have been of the male gender, I'm sure you would have continued to have got your chestnuts roasted. As you say Jenn, a friendly or at least polite "we don't appreciate this kind of thing" PM or post would have been sufficient. I suspect they relish every opportunity to proudly indulge in their own feeling of self superiority. I've driven a 911, OK so it was an early 80's example, but either way it was wibblepoo! The most unergonomic interior it has ever been my misfortune to sit in, and as for handling, are Porsche engineers familiar with the concept? I doubt it!
