As mentioned in the general bit I have agreed to take custody of this Datsun cherry europe:
Its in Westerham. The lad says it starts and runs, potters round the block etc, a treat but has not undertaken any lengthy journeys for a long time and has not been off his driveway for a year.
Is there anyone on here that could go and have a look at it for me? When i say 'look at it' I mean go and start it up, let it get warmed up etc, check for overheating, check the brake/fuel/coolant pipes are reasonably intact-looking, check the tyres are not cracked to hell etc. Basically look for anything glaringly obvious that might prevent it getting from A to B before I embark on a long mission to come and get it? Thus if owt needs doing, I can get it done/equip myself to do it before setting off.
I have OK'd it with the blokey and he is cool about it and more than willing to co-operate with such a plan. Any volunteers would of course be handsomely rewarded at CARS with some beer/wine/cheese/bread/onions etc .
