A friend of mine is regrettably having to sell his very rare 1990 MTX Roadster. This car was imported into the UK by a CZ student in 1991, and was found for sale on a car dealers forecourt a couple of years ago. It has undergone an extensive rebuild and is now having to be sold to fund other commitments. This car won best of show at the 2005 IFA Wartburg SOC event.  The owner is looking for around £2500 which i think is a very reasonable price considering this is probably the only MTX Roadster in the UK. i'll just add that these cars are even rare in Cz. MTX is is a Czech tuning company who often do conversions with Skodas and Tatras. it is obviously based on a skoda favorit but the body is converted to 2 door and the roof chopped off. mucho cool car  |

This car comes with 6 months Tax and an MoT until October 06.
It hasnt done many miles since its last MoT.
I have also been informed by a Skoda God (Skofast) that £2500 is cheap and that you can't but an MTX in any condition in CZ for that price.
Someone please buy this car and give it a good home.

I think the CZ student bought it as a RHD due to the fact that he was coming over to the UK to study and we drive on the left.

I think its thoroughly f.ugly! I hope I am not upsetting anyone too much by saying that. Certainly an interesting story behind it though. The rear deck looks nicely made too.

it does look a bit 90s tacky, but then so do mk4 escort convertibles. not upto the coolness of a rapid cabrio though imo. saying that, the fact it is so rare makes it very cool and destined for my driveway in years to come...  |
