As mentioned elsewhere....
when it came up for sale in 1996, I was about £200 shy of the £2500 asking price... I asked the seller to let me have it cheap...nay was their reply.... and my folks couldn't understand why I wanted to spend so much on a skoda that was (in their eyes) ostensibly the same as the £250 estelle I drove at the time. So they wouldn't lend me the money either.
So now I'm older and deffo no wiser, I may as well make a play for it while I can! ;D
