Just putting this up to gauge interest really.
We will soon be getting our VW Beetle Karmann b=cab back from the painters - meaning that our beloved Golf cab has to go
Heinrich - is a 1985 VW Golf 1.6GL Karmann cabriolet.
We have owned the car for the past 5 years - through which time he has taken us into Europe on holidays and all over the UK too.
When his rattly original 1.6 hit 19700 miles we swapped it for a 1.8.
He needs some TLC to his body - minor sill repair and some paint as we fitted new front wings last November, but as he has never had any paint/welding/panels before we feel he is a worthy cause!
He had a new roof fitted 4 years ago and has the late steering wheel, eyebrow spoiler, polished 'Scala' wheels, clear indicators and a few other bits which make him a little more tasteful.
Going to fit a new exhaust, driveshafts and engine mount next week and with over 6 months MOT he will go for a while yet too.
Sensible offers accepted. Pictures by request.
