It is a sad day...... due to redundancy I cant really justify owning 2 cars, so one has to go. So sadly the MG is up for sale.
A bit about the car;
1989 MG Maestro 2.0i,
Power Steering, Electric Mirrors, Tilt/Slide Sunroof and will have original Radio Cassette back in it when its sold. ( I have the code for it.)
83,000 miles or thereabouts
MOT till Mid November '06
Tax till end of May '06
Since having the car i have replaced;
Timing Belt (@77,000 miles) Power steering belt at the same time
Dizzy Cap, Rotor Arm, Coil, Battery, Plugs and last weekend the starter motor.
Oil and filter change @ 75,000 miles.
The car is totally standard and generally in very good condition, it starts first time every time, engine runs well and pulls strongly.
The interior is extremely good, no fag burns or rips to the seats, i replaced the headlining not long after i got it as it appeared to have been partially eaten.. The new one is red, so might not be to everyones taste!
............................................................... /\ Thats only water on the mat.. /\
Bad Points:
There are a few small rust spots on the car (pictured below) mainly on the rear doors and rear wheel arches, But there is nothing structural to worry about.
The power steering has squealed almost as long as i have had the car, i've changed and tensioned the belt, but it still complains under hard lock, it may need a new pump.
The central locking has a mind of its own, it may open all the doors, or just one. You never know!
I've really enjoyed owning this car, and i'm sad it has to go really. I'm looking for about £375 for it, thanks for looking.
