Car: 1992 Honda Prelude 2.2 Vtec JDM 4ws
Tax: SORN
MOT: 28 March 06
Mileage: 82K
Gearbox: Manual
Colour: Sebring Silver
Location: Wolverhampton /Birmingham
My dad bought the car from DK Cars in August 2001. They imported the car from Japan and converted it for UK use. My dad used it regularly until October 2004 when I purchased it from him.
The car is a reliable example in good working order there are a some minor aesthetic points that arn’t perfect but in good condition overall
The car was serviced annually by a small private garage specialising in Japanese cars. During the past year I have had a new cam belt fitted and replaced the coil/dizzy/ignition module/rotor arm and the plugs and an annual service. Fuel pump relay solder has been sorted out too.
Minor faults
There is nothing wrong with the running of the car. Idealy the following areas require attention at some point .
The wheels are 16” Sebring alloys and had a lovely polished lip on them. Very nice rare wheels but the polished lip has seen better days. They could do with a repaint to make them perfect. The tyres all have a lot of tread left on them and will last a good while
The cornering light on the drivers side is cracked. It still works and would be cheap to replace
The drivers window is slightly the wrong shade. It was replaced with UK glass This is barely noticable.
There is no radio
There is a minor crack on one corner of the rear bumper, nothing to worry about. Easily repaired.
The headlining has a few minor marks on it.
Broken Door Switch: This is missing but easily replaced if needed.
The paintwork is showing signs of surface bronzing Both rear pillars have slight pitting on them.
The aerial mast is broken.
The car runs perfectly with all the interior toys working as they should. The climate control is great and the air con still cools as it should. It flew through it's previous MoT and I expect it will this time.
When I bought it the exhaust was blowing. I had this replaced with a full stainless item. This has deleted the cat and the car has a very throaty note to it. It has a track day plug to reduce the volume if needed. It has an induction kit as pictured. The car is lowered on adjustable platform springs. It can go lower or higher than pictured. The car performs exceptionally well.
The car has a cat 1 Toad Alarm/Immobiliser fitted so its nice and secure .
The perfect car for someone looking for a reliable performance run about that could look as good as new with some minor TLC.
Asking price: £1000 ONO
