I'll just give you a run down of the bits its got and the work i've recently done:
White 28200 mile Hillman Super Imp 1971
T&t till april
Original Paintwork.
Chrome in good condition.
Sills and floor repaired recently (by previous owner)
Chrome spotlamps
Standard engine & box
Brand new solex
Recent Head and cambox gaskets.
New shocks alround. (standard)
Monte Carlo lowered/stiffer springs.
13"/6" Black wellers wearing 185/60 r13 Bridgestone potenza RE720's
Sony CD player
Mountney steering wheel
New lotus donuts and new bolts
New engine and Gearbox mounts (uprated)
New alternator and deep aluminium pulley.
New waterpump
Recent ignition and brake service
The car runs pretty sweetly, this week i'm going to replace the sump gasket (its leaking slightly) and repairing a hole in the backbox welds, following that it will be ready to go.
The bodywork is also pretty sweet and the paintwork is original and in good condition. There are a few small areas that require attention but they really are minor e.g the leading edge of the bonnet is rusty on one side but is repairable and also theres a few small patches of rust coming through on the sills where they have been repaired (this would be easy to sort, just prep and repaint). The leading edge of the floor where it meets the front panel has been patched and then has consequently been undersealed to hell and back.
The engine bay and front boot area have been waxoyled regularly by the previous owner hence are in good nick.
The interior is standard bar the wheel and cd player. Its is in excellent condition except the carpet which is original and has started to fade slightly.
Included in the deal are a set of rebuilt strombergs, a sport cam and carrier and a pair of 13"7" wellers which once painted black like the others will look exceptionally cool on the back.
I was looking for around £1600 for it because of the condition and the recent work but would be willing to accept a sensible offer (somewhat desperate)
